Before becoming a writer I worked in the agricultural and fresh produce industries for fifteen years. My experience encompasses soft and top fruit, field vegetables and potatoes.

I have worked in Kent, Scotland and East Anglia in advisory, agronomy and technical management roles. This career gave me an excellent understanding of modern food production methods and the issues facing farmers, growers, packers, suppliers and supermarkets.
